ABOUT

It’s true that development of any society is directly related to its capacity to conduct research, innovation and development. This is the reason why education has highest level of training in the form of Ph.D. degree. To prepare a good human resource, who can produce innovative research and monitor/manage a project is need of the hour.

Now-a-days students enrolled for higher education, i.e., for master’s and doctoral (Ph.D.) programs in various universities are facing difficulties at various stages of their research works due to several constraints. They don’t know how to proceed with research work with respect to experimental works, field-works, understanding and implanting various theories and hypothesis, research paper writing, publishing and various other activities. They are unable to match the pace and expectations of their supervisors in producing outcome as and when required. Sometimes it is difficult for the supervisor too to spend more time with his/her student due to several constraints and involvement in various other academic and administrative duties. This results in students leaving their course(s) in the mid-way or submitting a half-baked thesis that invites adverse comments from the examiner, and later it requires either major revision or sometimes even rejection of the whole thesis.

Apart from Master’s or Ph.D. studentship, the problem still continues to the level of post-doctoral level or even when the student gets employment. Project proposal writing, its defence to earn approval, monitoring, final reporting and publication are again many troublesome tasks. Technical paper writing and its presentation are also a major challenging part for the output production of any research project. Any scientific, technological, industrial or non-governmental organization requires a good skilled manpower, who can prepare, conduct, monitor or manage a project (research or developmental). Summarily, the education (teaching) has it highest goal in the form of conduct of research, project management /monitoring, publication of output and convincing the masses for their work.

Keeping all these in view, CERF/CIEE has formed a group of well experienced and skilled team of professors/experts who can help students in overcoming such difficulties by training and mentoring them in every aspects of their difficulties in these areas. CERF has launched a “CERF Research Mentoring Programme (CRMP)” in many fields of science, technology and humanities to prepare a well organised human resource. We organize workshops, personal assistance sessions, seminars, training sessions, etc. in the following areas.
