Philosophy of Sane Living
The daily routine (work/actions) of an individual should be divided into three parts:
- Live for yourself (spiritual work, e.g., Sleeping and Meditation)
- Live for your livelihood (this includes your physical needs and family’s welfare)
- Live for society
Evaluate your daily routine to determine how much time you devote to each of the three activities. Daily routine time should be divided into three parts, with each activity lasting 8 hours.
If we consider that time is divided into three parts, then the Present is the meeting point of the past and the future. We need to understand the present first. All the past has created the memory (both conscious and unconscious), and that dictates the future. Therefore, understanding the flow of time, we need to stay in the present. The present reveals the “Me/I” or the “Self”. Even if we do not bother whether ‘life has a purpose or not’, we need to understand this “me” to work properly and to live a happy or peaceful life. Sleeping is the subconscious/unconscious way to stay in the memory, but meditation
Foundation and Axioms
Foundation (SL Axioms)
- Life (pure consciousness) is the simplest form of our existence.
- The mind (thinking/thought) has complicated it.
- We must bypass the mind to reach life.
- Peace is an outcome of self-experiencing life (the living).
- Sane living is the outcome of ‘self-experiencing peace’.
- Desire and happiness (emotions) are two basic mental blocks for Sane Living.
- Meditation (Samadhi, i.e., the state of pure consciousness) is all about ‘experiencing the space’, which leads to self-realization (experiencing life) finally.
- Self-realization is the final goal of life.
- Experiencing Life is as real as experiencing the physical world. (It is not a mental logic or exercise).
Strategy
- Believe in the above 9 SL axioms.
- Educate yourself on yoga principles.
- Live a simple life.
- Stop comparing yourself with others.
- Try to meditate (Stop thinking) daily.
- Mental/psychological laws are only for regulating routine life. No need to be passionate or emotional about these laws
