The root cause of environmental degradation is ‘the destruction of natural resources’ in the name of fulfilling the energy needs of individual, society, or nations. All conventional sources (including nuclear) on earth have limited store. The only unlimited sustainability in the field of energy is solar (also, water and wind) energy. Those countries which are geographically situated between lines of Capricorn and Cancer (i.e., both sides of the equator), they are blessed hugely by this unending supply of energy. Although it is too late to harness this clean and sustainable energy by global community, however it is ‘better late than never’ approach. A hefty amount of money succumbed globally already for the research venture in this area, has now started fetching some fruitful and faithful results.

We, the citizen of this globe, must realize that the power given by the Nature to the human brain cannot be used to destroy the ecosystem, as we are part of it, forever. If earth can be treated as mother, then the prime goal of science/technology must be with a clean, green and sustainable development rather than exploitation and destruction. All conventional energy resources must be secured and safeguarded until other options of renewable energy is present. Whole international community have been ‘in a constant state of struggle with each other’ just to grab the control of limited energy reserves (in global sense) in last few thousand years. The scientific community is waking up, although very late, when the limited conventional energy reserve is going not only near to finish but also it has produced immense threat to the human existence in terms of global warming and related phenomena.

The development does not require how much energy we have stored or consumed, but how efficiently we handle it towards saving this earth, and human existence in other words. Curtailing energy requirements may be seen as primitive and underdevelopment, but thanks to this mother Nature which has provided an unending resource we can live with. Harnessing solar energy (primarily) is gift to us, like oxygen and water to sustain, we must work day and night to fulfil this goal of energy generation through our whole hearted hard-work.

This green and sustainable energy will create not an equity but equality based society on this mother earth, which is also an aim of all religious, political, social or scientific thinkers.

Most of the non-conventional energy resources, viz., wind, water, tidal, bio, and geothermal, are also not explored very well to serve the humanity. VIE has a wider goal for not just to create an organisational environment for business, industrial development, installation and management of energy equipments, etc. , but also to establish academic research and development institutions as well as to create electronic/print materials, public awareness programmes, conferences, seminars, etc. to achieve this global goal of humanity.

VIE hope and appeal for a global cooperation from all the like-minded organisations or individuals to foster with sharing all innovations with each other, and not just to achieve individual business strength.
